1 month ago1 1/2 minute read: We’ve been New Town Buffet customers for years, but stopped going due to they closed on account of COVID. They’re open again. They have a good variety to offer. Look at the photos, to get an idea. The Staff is limited in English, so be patient when dealing with them. They work just as hard as you do. Parking is plentiful. If you live in the Valley and crave good Chinese food, New Town Buffet may do the trick. Thanks Thanks

1 month agoNew Town Buffet 大家樂自助餐廳 is located @ 1101 N. San Fernando Blvd. Burbank California. They carry varieties of food, such as rice noodles, fried rice, noodles, steam bao, dim sum, soups, sushi, rlip's, salad, shrimp, snow crab legs, Chinese dishes, dessert fruit and ice cream. Price is reasonable, customer service is courteous, food is delicious.

2 month agoAbove average for its genre, this place has some extra stuff that you don't typically find like lychees and papaya and serviceable dim sum. It also has a mini Mongolian grill area. The sushi is fresh but the peel and eat shrimp is marginal. There are also plenty of stir fry entrees and grilled fish for those who don't want to tackle the raw stuff. Price is a bargain.

3 month agoHaven’t been here in years, they closed for 18 months during the worst of Covid and recently just reopened. The food selection was great, their ice cream has to be scooped out instead of the usual soft served. Food is generally good but I have to mention their fried chicken…it looked big but when I bit into it, the breaded part (flour) was 50% of the thickness and the chicken itself look unappetizing Service was friendly and professional. Process is a little different here, you pay the cashier when you come in, the waiter will tape your receipt to your table, then you go get your food, they have signs to warn you against wasting food (they will charge you extra) They also charge you 10% service fee for group of 2 or more.

3 month agoReally nice place for a buffet ! A wide variety of sea food.... Different types of sushi. I liked it very much. I'm not a frequent visitor of Chinese / Japanese cuisines. Still became a fan after my first visit. Raw sea food is something beyond my taste buds.. still tried different varieties. My favourite dish there was sushi.

3 month agoI have come here on and off since the 1990s, and never thought that much about it other than the fact that it is a really good deal as long as you can stomach the food. Well, I just went there recently with my brother, and I was nearly in shock at how much this place has improved from whatever was my last visit. The variety, the quality, even the atmosphere, everything about this place is better than before, way better. Previously, I never thought I would ever want to come back here unless it was just because I was with someone who wanted to eat here, but now I do want to return! In fact, I'm looking forward to the next time! And I will be sure to bring a friend to share the experience with. To the management, good, good job! Now I wish I had one of these where I live. At least I get to visit Burbank a few times a year. [Update 10/16/2022] I am still utterly amazed at how much food this place serves. In my youth, I may have been able to sample some of everything they serve in their bountiful buffet, but it's out of the question today. The food is pretty high quality besides, so you can look forward to both quantity and quality when you eat here. Bring a huge appetite and give yourself plenty of time to digest before you go for seconds, thirds, and dessert. [Update 6/21/2023] Sad to say, but they are closed for good. Too bad, because they really got it right this time.
